The Parlour Opens in South City [Updated]

The Parlour (4534 Gravois Avenue; 314-448-1978) will open its doors for the first time today, September 9, at 5 p.m. The self-styled lounge and bar will feature live music this and tomorrow evening as part of its grand opening. Its regular hours are 5 p.m.-1:30 a.m. Tuesday-Saturday.

The Parlour takes over the address that until last month was the home of The Wicked Lady Pub, with new management and new cocktail and food selections. I have a call into the Parlour for more info on the new menus. More as I learn it.

Update: (Monday, September 12, 10:30 a.m.) We have yet to hear back from the Parlour. However, over the weekend the lounge posted its food and drink menus online.

The former is relatively brief, with pizza, burgers, sandwiches (cheesesteak, pulled pork, chicken cordon bleu) and appetizers (toasted ravioli, wings). The drink menu, apparently going against the current trends in mixology, features several vodka-based cocktails.
