It may be September, but we can all agree that due to the weather, it's still summer. Cool off with the Late Summer Wine Supper at Russell's on Macklind (5400 Murdoch Avenue; 314-553-9994) Monday, September 9.

The dinner will begin with roasted corn and shrimp soup with polenta crouton, bacon lardon and grilled shrimp. Then it's a refreshing watermelon salad with shaved onion, spiced cashews, sweet corn, baby greens and a citrus vinaigrette. The main course is a honey and spice pork tenderloin with a house-made barbecue sauce, sweet potato hash, cider pickled peaches and leeks. Finish up with chocolate cake with buttermilk sorbet and dark coffee caramel.
Each course is paired with a wine from Pope Valley Winery, a Napa Valley winery founded in 1897. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m.; call 314-553-9994 for reservations.
