According to a report yesterday from Evan Benn of the Post-Dispatch, owner Ron Buechele has decided to close Capitalist Pig until spring. Buechele tells Benn that the restaurant will return with a more "value-driven" menu.

Capitalist Pig opened in late October of last year with a small, takeout-focused menu featuring an emphasis on sustainable meat, including heritage pork.
The restaurant made news last month when owner Buechele dealt with a complaint about the restaurant's name and sign at the same time that he was engaged in an online argument with several Yelp reviewers.
