We don't always celebrate fake holidays (OK, yes we do), but Friday is a doozy -- it's National Doughnut Day. Strange Donuts (2709 Sutton Boulevard, Maplewood; 314-932-5851) is throwing a party to celebrate. But if you can't make it, you can actually send a doughnut hole from Strange in the mail.

For just five bucks, you can send your friend a doughnut hole inside a cute little box with a message up to 250 words. They'll get an e-mail saying something exciting is on the way and the done will arrive in a few days. It's available Friday only, so take advantage with the code #donutmail. You can order here.

As far as the party, head to the Kuva Coffee factory (7824 Grove Avenue, Shrewsbury; 314-918-7030) from 6 to 10 p.m. There will be eats from Strange Donuts, of course, plus Mai Lee, Pastaria, Salume Beddu and Adam's Smokehouse; drinks are courtesy of Perennial Artisan Ales, Schlafly and Modern Brewery. $20 gets you all the food and drink, and there will be DJs all night. You can get your tickets here.
