Love Chick-Fil-A (multiple locations), but conflicted by the anti-gay rhetoric spouted by its president and COO Dan Cathy, and by the donations that its WinShape Foundation has made to such anti-gay organizations?

BuzzFeed reports (via Eater) on a deal supposedly reached between the chicken-focused fast-food chain and Chicago alderman Joe Moreno, who was opposing a Chick-Fil-A opening in his ward.

According to a press release from the Civil Rights Agenda, an Illinois-based LGBTQ advocacy group, Chick-Fil-A made a pledge to Moreno:

In a letter addressed to Alderman Moreno and signed by Chick-fil-A's Senior Director of Real Estate, it states, "The WinShape Foundations is now taking a much closer look at the organizations it considers helping, and in that process will remain true to its stated philosophy of not supporting organizations with political agendas." In meetings the company executives clarified that they will no longer give to anti-gay organizations, such as Focus on the Family and the National Organization for Marriage.

BuzzFeed received a statement from Chick-Fil-A that neither confirms nor denies the content of this letter.
