Now that the drought has relented and the temperature hovers on the better side of 100 degrees, it's prime time to enjoy all the fine summer festivities you can squeeze in before autumn takes over. And while the oppressive, dry heat certainly defeated many a backyard garden, the pros at Overlook Farm (901 South Highway 79, Clarksville) have been hard at work keeping their orchards, berry patches, vegetable gardens and farm animals healthy and happy.

Feast on the fruits of their labor this weekend at the Third Annual Luv Luv Farm Festival, a three-day celebration in which multicourse dinners prepared by talented local chefs are punctuated with live music, demonstrations, cookoffs, tastings and more.

It all begins on Friday with dinner ($65) and live music from 6 to 11 p.m. The party continues on Saturday with the 11 a.m. barbecue festival and cookoff, at which guests can sample festival eats, sip on cocktails and swing by the farm demo tent for cooking demonstrations and visits with farm animals, as they wait for the winner of the cookoff to be announced at 5 p.m. Stick around for the silent auction from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by a multicourse dinner prepared by guest chefs beginning at 6 p.m. ($65). Come back on Sunday for a bluegrass festival from noon to 4 p.m. Check out the complete schedule here.
