Forget brains; these zombies just want to dance.

Zombies have taken over the world! The world record for having the most flesh-eaters dance to Michael Jackson's "Thriller," that is.

On Saturday, 32 St. Louis zombies performed at Lemp Mansion as part of "Thrill the World," a global effort to set or break world records for the largest simultaneous "Thriller" dance.

Led by local organizers Kelly Ruesing and CJ Thomas, the St. Louis group joined thousands of undead people around the world who sashayed, shimmied and lurched through Michael Jackson's iconic dance moves at precisely 4 p.m. Central Time.

The documentation required for world record attempts is mountainous, so officials will take some time to review materials and videos before determining if the local group -- and the platoons around the globe -- collectively set a new world record. That doesn't mean we can't celebrate with pus-covered jazz hands now, though!

Here a few GIFs of our favorite "Thriller" dance moves performed by some nice St. Louis zombies who didn't eat our brains. Shamon! You can watch the full video of the attempt here.

First, turn up "Thriller":
