Justin Bieber Wins CMT Award, Becomes Fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse

Sure signs of an impending apocalypse:

1. Locusts: Depending on what part of St. Louis you're in, you can substitute cicadas. 2. Thunder, hail and tornadoes: Done, done and done. 3. Justin Bieber winning a CMT award: Which he did, earlier this week, for his collaboration with Rascal Flatts on "That Should Be Me."

That last one happened only a few days ago. The Bieb (the nickname alone must register as some kind of minor abomination), who has already conquered the world (or at least the Disney Channel), joined the ranks of country legends with a Collaborative Video of the Year honor at the 2011 CMT Awards. Bieber, who attended the ceremony with his mom, shares the honor with duet partners Rascal Flatts, thereby making the world just that much scarier.

He shut out Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock, Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert and Loretta Lynn, one of the weirdest groups of people to share a nomination ballot this side of the MTV Movie Awards Best Kiss category. We're still working on tying this back to Kevin Bacon.
