If you follow Justin Bieber on Twitter, perhaps you saw him announce the following late yesterday afternoon: "solid day in NYC. played hoops and just went to the MTV Upfronts...BEAVIS and BUTTHEAD are coming back!!!" (Huh-huh. He said 'coming.') An article on MTV.com elaborates that the cast of the U.S. version of Skins was the actual bearer of the good news: Beavis and Butt-head will be returning to MTV this summer. (Aside: Can you imagine the field day B&B would have with the nudity-heavy Skins? Man.)
While the dunce-y duo's return has been rumored forever, the confirmation of their return begs the question: Will the new Beavis & Butt-head episodes have the pair making fun of videos? I mean, the true genius of the show was their Mystery Science Theater 3000-esque mocking of ridiculous clips. Such as Pantera's "This Love":
"DAMMIT PANTERA, THIS BEER IS WARM, GET ME ANOTHER ONE."
Or Radiohead's "Creep." "It better start rocking or I'll really give him something to cry about."
