Valentine's Pop-Up Shop Launches on Cherokee Street This Thursday

Your valentine is one of a kind, and so it only makes sense to spoil him or her with one-of-a-kind artwork or wearables. Skip out on the massive teddy bear this year; no one has room for those anyway. Instead, check out A Tryst on Cherokee — a ten-day Valentine's-oriented pop-up where you can celebrate love and shop for products from emerging artists and makers.

There will be something for everyone. Fifteen artists with media ranging from photography, collage, paintings, illustration, fashion, jewelry, woodwork and more will have work for sale within just a few blocks of Cherokee Street from February 7 to 17.

And if you want to turn your shopping trip into a party, take a stroll down antique row February 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. for the event kick-off, where you can meet the faces behind the art. The ribbon cutting is at 6 p.m. at 2308 Cherokee Street.

VIP tickets are available for $20 and they include a handmade bracelet, complimentary wine, hot cocoa, and a cupcake bar, personal concierge the evening of the party, and store and vendor discounts throughout the 10-day event.

“What better way to bring people together in the season of the love than to celebrate the work of local artists – the heart and soul of every community,”  co-producer Deb Gaut says in a press release.

The event is hosted by Bohème Atelier, Ruby Francis, and Tracy's Treasures and produced by Emily Trista Lane of the Saint Louis Artists Alliance in association with Boomalally Magazine.
