A Christmas Story: The Musical

The 1983 film A Christmas Story was ignored at the box office, earning only $2 million during its opening weekend. In the years since, the movie has gone on to become a holiday favorite, thanks to annual airings on television and a steady stream of home-video releases. Now Ralphie's quest to find a Red Ryder BB Gun under the tree sees him take the stage in A Christmas Story: The Musical, the new Broadway production based on the beloved film, which itself is based on the stories of Jean Shepherd.
