Accounting for Taste

Ms. Day values having a plan, especially when it comes to her meals. With an event that offers as many options and attracts as large a crowd as A Tasteful Affair does, a strategy is exceedingly important. So here's what she's come up with for this year's Affair: Desserts first! It's brilliant! While all of you are crowding around the 30 or so tables serving savory-type bites in the Khorassan Ballroom at the Chase Park Plaza (212 North Kingshighway Boulevard), Day will be gallivanting through the tasty samples from Hank's Cheesecakes, Serendipity, Cravings and more. Mmmm, it's going to be a sweet, sweet afternoon (the event runs from 2 to 5 p.m.), especially since her $50 to $65 ticket benefits Food Outreach's efforts! To learn more about the fundraiser -- which also features more than 300 auction items for attendees to bid on and an afterparty at Mandarin ($10 to $15) -- call 314-652-3663 or visit Just don't steal Ms. Day's plan -- getting between her and sweets would be most regrettable.
