Afternoon on the Isle

Ms. Day loves herself some St. Patrick's Day. She adores Irish music; she digs Irish food (corned beef and cabbage — mmmm!); she can't get enough Guinness. And while she does certainly have great fondness for all things St. Patrick's Day, she really enjoys helping people more, which is why the second annual family-friendly Irish Hoolie at the Dubliner (1025 Washington Avenue) is the perfect event for her. From 1 to 4 p.m., Day will listen to the tunes of Mitzi MacDonald and Keltic Reign, while ordering whatever she wants from the Dubliner's fine menu (maybe even the "Emigrants Corned Beef"). And her admission fee ($5 in advance, $10 at the door) and games of chance will benefit the Immigrant & Refugee Women's Program. To join Day and to learn more about the program and the fundraiser, call 314-771-1104 or visit www.irwp.net.
