An Appetite's Delight

Last year, Ms. Day messed up and didn't have a plan of digestion in place for the Downtown Restaurant Week; as a result, she tried to eat at most of the restaurants on the last two days of the event (um, not a good idea). But this year, she figures if she dines at three or four restaurants per evening — twenty-two fine establishments are participating — she'll be covered. And while it will be difficult gastronomically to enjoy this many three-course meals per night beginning Monday, August 7, and continuing through Saturday, August 12, it won't be that challenging for Day's pocketbook since each meal costs a mere $25. Yippee! Now, to decide the order of gorge — should she first go to Sen Thai Asian Bistro? Or Kitchen K (that's chef Byron Smith pictured)? Or what about mmm-Mosaic or the Pepper Lounge? Wow, this will be more difficult than Day thought; perhaps she should draw names out of a saucepan. Anyway, to have a look at all of the menus and plan your personal eating excursion, visit www.downtownrestaurantweek.net. All of the restaurants' phone numbers are also listed on the site; reservations are strongly recommended.
