Apocalypse Now

During Echo Theatre Company’s popular monthly play-reading series, which happens on the first Tuesday of each month, expect to hear works by boundary-pushing playwrights in an informal setting. This month’s presentation is After the End by Dennis Kelly, a post-apocalyptic tale about survivors Mark and Louise. Mark has canned chili and a sense of power; Louise just has her life -- for now. The reading begins at 6:30 p.m., and admission is free. The “informal setting” is provided by the Old Rock House in Soulard (1200 South Seventh Street). For more information call 314-225-4329 or visit www.echotheatrecompany.org.
