Usually when the words "user's guide" are uttered in connection with any product, you freeze up and have a flashback to that horrible barbecue-grill-setup incident...ugh, it took you months to even be able to look at hamburgers again. But trust us, French Wines: A User's Guide, the class held at 7 p.m. at the Lukas Liquor Superstore (15921 Manchester Road, Ellisville), won't turn out badly at all. There's nothing to put together — besides the French wines and foods you'll be trying — and the only tools involved are corkscrews, which your friendly instructor, Mike Ward, will handle. The lesson costs $25, $15 of which can be put toward a purchase of one of the wines you tasted. To make your required reservation, call 636-227-4543.
