Back It Up

Pay a visit to decades past

The St. Louis Jewish Book Festival continues this week with more author visits and good times, like this evening's Retro Night, featuring Roger Bennett, the author of such humorously titled works as And You Shall Know Us by the Trail of Our Vinyl: Jewish Past As Told by the Records We Have Loved and Lost (book jacket pictured) and Bar Mitzvah Disco: The Music May Have Stopped, but the Party's Never Over. Not only will you get to hang out with Bennett at this event, but you will also get to dress like you did 30 years ago (when the festival first began), enjoy an ice cream float, munch on some snacks and more. Admission to the party costs $15 (free with a series ticket), and you will be traveling back in time via the Jewish Community Center (2 Millstone Campus Drive, Creve Coeur). To learn more, visit www.stljewishbookfestival.org, and to purchase a ticket in advance, call 314-442-3299. Retro Night begins at 7:30 p.m.
