Hey, there. Yeah, you. King of the Playground, Queen of the Jungle Gym. Think you still have all those youthful skills? Care to make it interesting? Why not sign up for the Ultimate Dodgeball Championship Local Qualifier? Held at 6 p.m. at Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park (17379 Edison Avenue, Chesterfield), this competition pits your gang of five against another similar group until one team reigns supreme over all of St. Louis. Quite an honor! And your winning team may just be one of the lucky eight that gets some time in the national championship tournament, where you will have the opportunity to jump and dodge and do St. Louis proud -- as well as win $20,000. There are, as you might imagine, a ton of rules for this sort of event, such as no gloves, no pinching the ball and no kicking the ball. To get straight on the regulations and to sign your team up by Friday, August 2 ($50), visit www.udodgeball.com. And remember this tip for success, as spoken by a true master: If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball. Players must be sixteen or older, and parental waivers are required if you're younger than eighteen.
