Over the last five years, Tom Stockman's Super-8 Movie Madness events have become a St. Louis institution. Every affectionately curated program consists of classics (as well as hokey and genuinely weird movies), condensed into approximately fifteen minutes. To mark Super-8's fifth anniversary and also honor the life of St. Louis' Crown Prince of Terror, Stockman resurrects his infamous Super-8 Vincent Price Movie Madness in 3-D program that wowed audiences at the 2011 Vincentennial festivities. Selected celluloid screams include Master of the World (which teams Price with Charles Bronson), War-Gods of the Deep and Witchfinder General, along with Tim Burton's homage, Vincent, and two of Price's Edgar Allan Poe flicks, The Pit and the Pendulum and The Raven. Non-Price films including Blazing Saddles, Popeye and Destroy All Monsters are also featured in this celebratory evening. The blood-curdling fun begins at 8 p.m. at the Way Out Club (2525 South Jefferson Avenue; 314-664-7638), and admission is $3.
