Beautify That Bus

If you always wanted to scribble your initials on the school bus but the fear of a scowling bus driver lugging you into the principal’s office held you back, the Chesterfield Arts organization is rolling out the project of your dreams! Everyone is invited to “Make Your Mark” and participate in a fun-filled public-transportation transformation. One Metro bus serves as your canvas for the day, and when completed, this collective masterwork will make its daily rounds through west county for the next year. Would-be bus painters and onlookers should converge at Chesterfield Arts (444 Chesterfield Center) at 1 p.m. to receive instruction and view this year’s design; then, they should grab brushes and get to work! Visitors can also tour the Chesterfield Arts gallery, see local artists at work, and enjoy free hot dogs and frozen custard. For more information (and to view pictures of last year’s bus), visit or call 636-519-1955.
