Best Batting Cage

Infield Fun Center

You've got one dollar and eighteen things to bitch about. The Infield Fun Center's batting cages are just the ticket. Pitches one through three are for your griping family. Four through seven are for work: a missed deadline, health insurance that's too expensive, a vending machine that doesn't work. Ball eight's for the office too (that unpleasant stapler incident). Nine and ten cover your general malaise about the state of the world. Pitch eleven you dedicate to lousy drivers (why don't people around here ever use their turn signals?) Twelve: Back to your family, specifically your sister, who plasters her beat-up Toyota with stupid bumper stickers. No one cares that you voted for Kerry! Get the heck over it already! Thirteen, fourteen and fifteen bring a little relief from the phone (outrageous), cable (overdue) and electric (it's been a long, hot summer, OK?) bills. Sixteen through eighteen -- three more for Mom, Dad and Sis. The Infield sports eight cages, which offer baseballs and/or softballs at eighteen pitches per $1 token. If you're really feeling steamed, you can purchase six tokens for $5 or thirteen for $10. And once you've taken out your various frustrations, you can avail yourself of the center's other attractions, which include miniature golf, go-carts, bumper boats and a game room.
