Ever since RFT broke the news in January that some production company wants to film a big reality show here featuring loud and crazy twentysomethings, we've been dying to know who's behind the show. Coolfire Studios, the folks who brought us Salvage City, held an open casting call earlier this year, but they're staying mum on which network is the driving force behind the new show. News about the show went viral when Coolfire released a casting wish list that reminded us of just about every mid-county douchebag in town: Do you work a typical nine-to-five, entry-level job by day and live wild and crazy at night? Do you live in a "hip" neighborhood no one's really heard of, like Brentwood Forest or the Moorlands? Are your friends loud, bold, outgoing and otherwise annoying? Do you like to hang out in hotspots like like Bar Napoli, the Wheelhouse, BARcelona and Double D's? Do you have Champagne taste on a Bud Light budget? Every few weeks or so, we hear a new off-the-record report from someone whose friend/relative is interviewing for the show, so it seems like it's actually happening. But there's been no word yet on who's behind it. Is it MTV, which sent a delegation to study St. Louis this year? Is it some small, independent production house? We'll just have to wait to find out.
