Best Music Radio Program

Bob's Scratchy Records

Bob Reuter takes over the KDHX (88.1 FM) studio on Magnolia Street every Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. His show — Bob's Scratchy Records — is insanity: Strange noises from long-forgotten slabs of vinyl with the host howling over the music whenever the mood strikes him. He tells stories and gives reports on his half-century of time served in the St. Louis rock & roll fun house, and the truths are far stranger than the lies. But the through line is the music — without his impeccable taste for rowdy songs of all stripes, the show would be a sideshow. Instead, it's the best sermon in town for any true believer in rock & roll.
