People like round numbers. They’re easy to remember, they look impressive on paper, they imply significance; yes sir, nice, round numbers are pleasing. That’s why the NonProphet Theater Company’s Militant Propaganda Bingo Machine features 24 comic sketches, performed in an order determined by the audience – wait, that’s a terrible example of a round number. Where the hell is this going? Oh, ok – here it is: 300. That’s a number so round you could slip it in a stack of flapjacks and no one would be the wiser. At 8 p.m. this evening at Off Broadway (3509 Lemp Avenue; 314-752-5075 or www.nptco.org), the NPTCO performs episode number 300 of the Militant Propaganda Bingo Machine. Those two dozen sketches are worked over by the current cast as well as some special guest stars and former cast members, and lucky audience members receive the same cruddy prizes as always (kidding). Even if you don’t win a prize, you still get to enjoy the acrobatic and effervescent sex appeal of Lola van Ella, who’s performing between sketches. Tickets are $10 at the door, and you must be at least 21 to enter.
