Charles Condomine just wants to research seances for his next novel. He invites a medium to to do her thing, and she succeeds in summoning the ghost of his first wife, Elvira. Elvira is not happy about Charles' current wife, Ruth, and resumes hectoring Charles about his decision making, personality and everything else. Ruth can't see or hear Elvira, however, so she has a hard time believing his story -- but she'll see for herself soon enough. St. Louis Actors' Studio presents Noel Coward's comic masterpiece Blithe Spirit as a bit of frothy holiday fun.
