Bobcat Sighted in Valley Park

He used to be a real jerk, but now he's a people guy! Bobcat Goldthwait, most likely the only human being who can get away with a name like that, is the unsung nonpareil of the actor/writer/comedian/producer field. Sure, he will always be known as the least-intimidating gang leader in police comedies ever, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have other accomplishments under his belt. Goldthwait has been just delightful as a guest on NPR's Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!, and his mostly under-the-radar black comedy God Bless America is heading toward cult fandom status. Most recently, his found-footage-based Big Foot-hunt-goes-terribly-wrong horror flick Willow Creek debuted to a series of sold-out film screenings. Bobcat Goldthwait performs at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday (April 3 through 5) at the Valley Park Funny Bone (32 Meramec Valley Plaza, Valley Park; 636-529-1201 or www.stlouisfunnybone.com). Tickets are $20.
Thu., April 3, 7:30 p.m.; April 4-5, 7:30 & 9:30 p.m., 2014
