Bon Voyage!

We deal with inconvenient detours every day: The regular route to work is closed for street repairs, the bathroom on your floor of the office is flooded, and the park where you usually go running is now headquarters for the local softball league. However, there's one type of detour you'll be relieved to discover, and that's Classical Detours with the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra. These one-hour Friday-night concerts at Powell Symphony Hall (718 North Grand Boulevard) are designed to whisk you away to a far-off place and create an uplifting start to the weekend. Enjoy Voyage to Spain, conducted by David Robertson, at 6:30 p.m. tonight. Complimentary appetizers from BARcelona are served before the performance. This detour requires tickets, and they run from $20 to $30 (at 314-534-1700 or www.slso.org).
