Bowwow Wow Yippee-Yo, Yippee-Yay

Attention all dogs (that includes you, Dr. Barkapotomus): Suffering through your rabies shots finally pays off! Because you have a clean bill of health — and your owners have paper-proof of such — you are all invited to the Dog Swim Parties! These pool shindigs, which are hosted by Dogparks of Greater St. Louis, don't put any restrictions on you, our furry, four-legged friends; you can run and jump and swim and play at both the Heman Park pool (7210 Olive Boulevard, University City) and the Paul A. Schroeder Park Aquatic Center (359 Old Meramec Station Road, Manchester) this weekend. The U. City event happens from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 9, and the Manchester fun goes down on both Saturday and Sunday (September 9 and 10) from 1 to 4 p.m. And dogs, all you have to do to participate is have your person bring along the aforementioned rabies paperwork and $10 for the two of you to get in — you know your owner is good for the cash. Canine caregivers are free to swim with their animals, and the people can find out more information about the fun at
Sat., Sept. 9; Sun., Sept. 10
