Caped, Undraped Crusaders

Having honed their craft in the anatomy classes of the finest community colleges the nation has to offer, comic-book artists have essentially been drawing their beefy and buxom superheroes for decades. Sporting spandex tights and brightly colored underwear on the outside, most superheroes are basically taking down the bad guys buck naked, with only a utility belt and the good sense of the costume colorist preventing earth's mightiest heroes from violating community decency laws. Who better than St. Louis' bold and bawdy burlesque troupe, the Randy Dandies, to bring these fearless four-color crime-fighters off of the printed page and into the flesh? Tonight at 9 p.m., those Uncanny Dandies revisit their superhero-themed show, "A Comic Strip," at the Factory (1128 Washington Avenue; www.therandydandies.com). Tickets are $15. Anyone younger than 21 will be turned away at the door, but if you're of drinking age and come dressed as a superhero, you'll receive a special prize.
