There's a pleasant multiplicity about the concept of Pure Delusions: You could look at it as hammering home the purity of the the fallacies themselves, ideas so perfectly detached from reality that they serve as absolute escapism. Of course, delusions by definition must be based in actuality if only because they reject evidence and persist in some ludicrous dream of how things really are. It’s also the name of an ostensibly spoken-word art pursuit happening Saturday, August 11, at Fort Gondo (3151 Cherokee Street). Delusions features a venerable lineup: former Conformists singer Mike Benker, former Get Born-er Joseph Sulier, constant poet Brett Underwood and the pseudonymical Matt Questionmark. Plus music, plus visual art, plus the whole thing’s recorded. Pure Delusions begins at 9 p.m., and it’s free. Fore more information, visit www.fortgondo.com.
