Cocoa-Cocoa Concert

Each weekend, Ms. Day and her sweet hit the town and attempt to put together the perfect date night. Naturally, she and he have different interests, likes and dislikes, and even attention spans, so planning a night out that suits them both is more challenging than it may seem. Day prefers long nights, and ones packed with entertainment, while her other half likes to relax, kick back and maybe grab a bite. See the trouble? Fortunately, with this weekend's Cabaret at the Café, Day's date difficulties may be solved. Café Cioccolato (816 Olive Street; 314-345-1200 or www.cafecioccolato.com) serves up not only sweets, as its name would imply, but also a not-too-long, not-too-short evening of song, featuring all kinds of talented folks — Ken Haller, Anna Blair and Carol Schmidt included. These and other performers present old songs and new throughout their two-act show, and they'll even greet people afterward. The cabaret performance begins at 8 p.m., and tickets cost $15 in advance and $20 at the door. The night comes with a two-drink minimum, which shouldn't be a problem for Day or her date — they both certainly like to sip!
