Come Join the Collective

Making art can be a lonely business. Much of your time is spent thinking and questioning, and at the end of the day, you have only yourself to rely upon. That's why artists tend to congregate with other artists, so that they have sympathetic sounding boards and compassionate critics. The members of Art Group 360 are a local group who work in many media, but all share a passion for creative endeavors. John Dean and Janet Fons practice landscape painting, while Marie Donato creates photographs. An exhibition featuring the work of all six members, Art Group 360: The Art of the Collective, opens with a free public reception from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, January 17, at the St. Louis Artists' Guild (1 Oak Knoll Drive, Clayton; 314-727-6266 or www.stlouisartistsguild.org). The work remains on display through Sunday, March 2, and the gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday.
Tuesdays-Sundays, 12-4 p.m. Starts: Jan. 17. Continues through March 2, 2014
