Craft Town Rockers

During the holiday-shopping melee, nothing compares to the emotion you feel when you spot the item that immediately makes you think "Grandpa Joe" or "Mom" or "Danny." Perfect-gift epiphany is a marvelous experience — but what if you could look into the eyes of the person who created that afghan, those earrings, that hand-blown vase, that T-shirt, that what-have-you, even as you reveled in the moment? And while conversing with this mind-blowing artist, what if you were listening to live music, holding a raffle ticket and having your picture taken with a larger-than-life sock monkey? That would indeed be the perfect shopping experience. The fourth annual Rock-n-Roll Craft Show and its 95 participating artists want to answer your holiday shopping prayers on Saturday and Sunday (December 8 and 9) at the Mad Art Gallery (2727 South 12th Street). Tickets are available at the door for $2 each, and doors open at noon both days and close at 9 p.m. on Saturday and 6 p.m. on Sunday. For more information visit www.rockandrollcraftshow.com.
