Critical Mass Creative Stimulus

Every year, the arts organization Critical Mass bequeaths a gift of $1,000 to four artists on the basis of work they've made in the past, and with the hope that these artists will continue to forge ahead in new directions. The benefit to the community is immediate, as the artists also receive an exhibition at the Regional Arts Commission (6128 Delmar Boulevard; 314-863-5811 or www.art-stl.com). Lyndsey Scott, Sarah Paulsen, Emily Heymeyer and Alex Petrowsky are this year's recipient's, and you can see their work in the exhibition Critical Mass Creative Stimulus 2011, which remains on display daily through Sunday, September 4. Admission is free.
