Ira Glass has made his way in the world with his ability to condense a phenomenon or a person's story down to concise yet illuminating narrative in his long-running radio program This American Life. What nobody realized was missing from that winning formula was dance. Radio is a poor medium for all dances except tap and traditional Alpine dancing (those slaps!), but once again, Glass has found a way to make the intangible tangible. Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Host features Glass and dancers Monica Bill Barnes and Anna Bass doing their respective things all at once in a live piece on the nature of performance and love -- all told and danced in three acts. Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Host is presented at 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday (November 1 and 2) at the Edison Theatre on Washington University's campus (314-935-6543 or edison.wustl.edu). Tickets are $20 to $36.
