The Breakfast Club is a timeless film that feels like a play since there are only seven characters (don’t forget Sox-loving Carl the custodian) and really one set (the library) to go with the character-driven dialogue. The Marble Stage Theatre Company performs the stage adaptation of The Breakfast Club at Bayless High School (4530 Weber Road, Affton) — what poetic symmetry. It’s the perfect angsty antidote to the High School Musical nonsense sweeping the nation.
