South City Diner

This true 1950s-60s diner on the South Side features music and memorabilia from that era. Be it nostalgia or a history lesson, the Associated Press calls the South City Diner "a true piece of Americana." The extensive collection includes two large Marilyn Monroe oil paintings, a working jukebox, 1950s record-album covers, chrome tables and more. "You'll feel like you're home again," says owner Marty Wheeler. "That's what we're shooting for."
