Do A Good Deed -- Have A Drink

All year long your friendly bartender makes your drink of choice, listens to your problems and then gets you another drink. Sure, you tip 'em, but do you ever really thank them? Tonight's your chance to thank them in person, and you'll still get your follow-up beverage, too. The Bartenders' Charity Ball stars all your favorite barkeeps in their off-hours finery, mingling and enjoying themselves on the other side of the taps for a change, and raising money for Cardinal Glennon Childrens' Hospital and Food Outreach. The party starts at 8 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch (315 Chestnut Street; www.bartenderscharityball.org). Tickets are $75 to $80, and include dinner, live music and a premium open bar (of course).
