The monthly event Parties in the Park in downtown Clayton has become an institution in the St. Louis region. Held on Central Avenue the second Wednesday of each summer month, attendees ditch their offices to enjoy free music and a relaxed atmosphere. On July 9, the Super Majik Robots performed covers of pop songs throughout the evening as party-goers mingled. The next event will be held August 13, with '90s cover band the VCRs on tap to entertain.
