Who knew that the Old Testament, with all its famine and betrayal, had a musical side? Broadway phenom Andrew Lloyd Weber did, and his Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has been a success since its creation as a pop cantata in 1968. This musical retelling of the life of Joseph, the favorite son of his father, Jacob, and all of Israel, features a host of musical styles and is family-friendly. American Idol fans can rejoice in seeing former contestants turned husband-and-wife team Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young star on stage as Joseph and the Narrator, respectively. Come see how clothes, even in biblical times, really did make the man at 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m. Sunday (April 29 through May 11) at the Fox Theatre (527 North Grand Boulevard; 314-534-1111 or Tickets are $25 to $75.
