Just from the looks of you, we're guessing you're not the type of person who has trouble sharing your opinions with others. Not that there's anything wrong with that! In fact, there are certain situations that demand you pass judgment and make your voice heard — and Pudd'nHead Books (37 South Old Orchard Avenue, Webster Groves; 314-918-1069 or provides just such an opportunity today. In honor of Krystina Castella and Terry Lee Stone's Booze Cakes: Confections Spiked with Spirits, Wine and Beer cookbook and Sarah Billingsley and Amy Treadwell's Whoopie Pies: Dozens of Mix 'em, Match 'em, Eat 'em Up Recipes book, the shop has solicited entries for its Booze Cakes and Whoopie Pies Contest — and you can help judge! Just come by the bookstore at 2 p.m. for the tasting and the voting, and have a look at these cookbooks if you'd like to make drunken desserts and/or little cake sandwiches at home. (Who wouldn't?)
