Magnificat by Estonian composer Arvo Pärt is the perfect antidote to pop holiday tunes. This performance also includes the world premiere of Christbaum composed by Sasha Johnson Manning, along with Franz Biebl's Ave Maria and other carols from Europe. To hear these magnificent works in a most stunning space, arrive at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis (4431 Lindell Boulevard) at 3 p.m. Tickets to the concert cost $10 to $30 through MetroTix (314-534-1111 or Learn more about the chorus and its 53rd season by visiting
