The thick, pointy leaves of the blue agave plant are best known to Mexican-food enthusiasts and spirit drinkers alike for their role in tequila production. At El Agave in St. Charles, where pastoral Mexican scenes cover the walls, the footprint of the blue agave can be sampled in any of their more than one hundred offered tequilas. In addition to the broad spirit menu, El Agave offers a full menu of Mexican food including a wide range of burritos, quesadillas, steak, chicken and seafood.
