Holy crap. The estate sale at the Way Out Club is going to be epic.
Every music lover in St. Louis felt conflicted this week when we learned that the contents of the dearly departed Way Out Club were going to be put up for sale
. On one hand, we still hold the club in a special place in our hearts. But on the other hand, Way Out Club owners Bob Putnam and Sherri Lucas had a lot of cool stuff in there that we want to buy!
Well, the details have been announced and this is going to be the estate sale to end all estate sales. Hosted by local vintage dealer MoModerne
, the sale happens at the beginning of January and it’s going to be mega.
If you frequented the club, you know of all of the retro wonders that were in the bar and performance area. But what you might not have known was that the basement was crammed with enough vintage treasures to stock an entire flea market. And it’s all for sale. All of it.
You can get framed art, statues, clocks, posters, lamps, electronics, furniture, books, VHS tapes, DVDs, beer steins, tiki cups, games, costumes, neon signs, musical equipment and more. You can even get the beloved club’s jukebox.
