Yeah, so, we’re not trying to freak you out or anything, and we know that Halloween hasn’t even happened yet, but there are only two more months until Christmas. Unbelievable, right? But let this gentle reminder serve as the push you’ve always wanted to begin your shopping early -- you know, so you’re not at the gas station buying lottery tickets and Snickers bars for everyone on Christmas day. Besides, you did that last year. To change things up for the better, head over to ARTstravaganza! happening at the St. Louis Artists’ Guild (2 Oak Knoll Park, Clayton) this weekend. During this art festival, you can purchase presents for many (if not all) of the people on your list -- and have fun in the process. It all begins on Friday, October 26, with the Moonlight Reception: From 4 to 9 p.m., you can taste wine from Peaceful Bend Vineyard, enjoy an all-clarinet concert courtesy of Claritet and, of course, shop, shop, shop. The Best of Missouri Hands juried artists provide the wares, and the variety of works offered -- ranging from jewelry to photography -- ensures that all of your gift recipients will be happy. ARTstravaganza! continues on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (October 27 and 28). For more information about the event, call the Artists’ Guild at 314-727-6266 or visit www.stlouisartistsguild.org. Admission is free.
