Join Riverfront Times Press Club. Because No News is Bad News.

Do you want the good news or the bad news first? The good news? Circus Flora performs this weekend! Now, the bad news: Alas, this circus appearance doesn’t mark the beginning of longer days and warmer summer temperatures, but instead, the start of a long, cold, dreary winter. Never the matter though! Any season with our city’s beloved circus is a joyous, cheer-filled season for us! Join us in the basking glow of Circus Flora jubilation at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and at 4 p.m. Sunday (October 18 through 21) inside the big-top tent on the northwest grounds of Chesterfield Mall (113 Chesterfield Center). There, the stars of A Celtic Night Circus: Tír na nÓg, including Sacha Pavlata and Shayna Swanson, will delight with trapeze tricks, aerial acts and other circus fun, all while guests dine on dinner and sip on wine. How elegant! Tickets for this dinner-theater experience, which must be purchased in advance, cost $120 to $175 and are available by calling 314-534-1111 or visiting www.metrotix.com; a portion of the weekend’s proceeds benefits Clowns on Call, a group that spreads joy to area children in hospitals.
