Fancy a Go?

Vicars and tarts party hard

Some British fads catch on in America (see: the Beatles); some don't (see: marmite). Will English-style Vicars and Tarts parties generate a Beatle-esque response that leads to a national mania for gatherings where women dress as lecherous clergymen and men dress as promiscuous women? Only if we all work together on this. Do your part from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. tonight at the Koken Art Factory (2500 Ohio Avenue; at St. Louis' first Vicars and Tarts party. Gents, dress as dirty-girlie as you dare. Ladies, try to come up with an equally provocative take on the vicar's collar and black suit. Prizes are awarded for the best dressed, and even if you don't win something, you can still ogle the naughty art and burlesque aerialists Gravity Plays Favorites. Admission is $5, and due to the adult nature of the evening, no one younger than 21 will be admitted, and no unauthorized photography will be allowed. Ooh, strict!
