Laumeier Sculpture Park presents the opening of Farid Rasulov: 1001 Skewers in the Aronson Fine Arts Center’s Whitaker Foundation Gallery, a large-scale sculpture installation using more than 1,000 kebab skewers with configurations based on Azeri fairy tales. Rasulov’s two installations at Laumeier are whimsical applications of design techniques inspired by the artist’s heritage in Azerbaijan. Exhibition opens Saturday, April 7, 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. in the Aronson Fine Arts Center at Laumeier Sculpture Park. Free, all ages. Call 314.615.5278 or visit for more information.
