Fashioning the Black Body

Join us for the opening reception of "Fashioning the Black Body," new mixed-media exhibition organized by artist and curator Dario Calmese. On view from March 15, 2019 through May 4, 2019, this project surveys how fashion, style, and the garment act as devices of investigative storytelling. Featured artists include: Bisa Butler, Soly Cissé, Renee Cox, David Antonio Cruz, Kenturah Davis, Hassan Hajjaj, Basil Kincaid, Mario Moore, Chris Ofili, Fahamu Pecou, Katherine Simóne Reynolds, Jacolby Satterwhite, Mickalene Thomas, and Kehinde Wiley.
