Feeling Fair?

August just plum got away from you, didn't it? You didn't even make it out to the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia, and how you're missing that down-home good time now that it's over! If only you could hop in the old flux-capacitor-fitted DeLorean ...but, alas, the DeLorean's in the shop. You could just calmly place yourself in the hunk of tin that you do actually own, and point it toward the Robert G. Reim Theatre at the Kirkwood Community Center (111 South Geyer Road). That's where Stages St. Louis presents the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical State Fair. This production promises to bring old-fashioned fair fun to life onstage while sharing a bit of love with audience members of every age, all through songs such as "It Might As Well Be Spring" and "It's a Grand Night for Singing." The production is presented every day except Monday from Friday, September 3, through Sunday, October 3. Tickets cost $49; call 314-821-2407 or visit www.stagesstlouis.org to make a purchase.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: Sept. 3. Continues through Oct. 3, 2010
